about this website
This website is a digital portfolio designed to be presented
as an old Windows XP computer.
It contains my photography, personal notes,
poetry, music and ongoing creative projects.
I plan to keep adding to it as my work develops.
It is worth noting that many files on the computer exist
purely for world-building and immersion, I want it to FEEL like
this is a teenager's computer from the mid 2000s. That said, my
work is easy to find.
The operating-system design is inspired by
early personal websites, family computers and
that strange, cheap, handmade feeling of the old web.
I am a huge fan of 2000s aesthetics and felt like I should
implement this into my portfolio. I wanted the site to function as
a digital hub for all of my work, a collection of my creative
exploration.
To put the website together, I made use of templates I could find from various sources,
ranging from GitHub downloads to simple free templates. I also explored
many old websites from the 2000s via websites like GeoCities Archive and Internet Archive
to either gather inspiration or pinch code itself. I knew very little about coding
prior to starting this project so I needed a solid start point that I could build on, though I will say that
I have learned much from this and I am comfortable enough with HTML to add to the website
without much exterior help!
artist statement
My artist statement will go here when I come
up with one.
I love to implement surrealism, dark themes,
strange imagery and poetry into my work.
